Bambu Studio 2.7 beta converts textured models into printable colors
The May beta previews Texture-to-Color painting; June’s public release adds stronger import tools and gradient controls.

Bambu Studio 2.7.0 entered public beta on May 14, 2026 with Texture-to-Color painting. The tool converts an imported model’s texture into painted regions for multi-color printing, making artwork such as logos and patterns usable without manually repainting every surface.[1]
The beta accepts textured OBJ, glTF and GLB files. Bambu recommends single-texture models, importing one at a time, and repairing major mesh defects beforehand. Draco-compressed glTF and GLB files are unsupported in this beta. Files saved by the beta also could not yet be uploaded to MakerWorld.[1]
Other changes include independent gradients for parts of different heights, preservation of painted colors after a plane cut, Traditional Chinese interface selection, and further Filament Manager support for official colors, multi-color filaments and cloud synchronization.[1]
Update — June 1: The public Studio 2.7.1 release combines the preceding 2.6.1 and 2.7 betas and adds A2L support. Texture import gains FBX, improved multi-texture sampling and a mesh-repair confirmation workflow. Gradient curves gain draggable anchor points to control color mixtures at different heights, while LAN connection details can be saved locally.[2]
Bambu advised 2.7.0 beta users to upgrade because some slicing scenarios could fail with the new presets. The public release also documented startup lag and possible crashes on macOS 26.5. Version 2.7.1.62 followed on June 16 with a fix for that macOS startup problem.[2][3]
