Bambu Lab confirmed the H2C on August 26, 2025, in a development update published alongside the H2S launch. The company said it expected to ship the new H2-series model before the end of 2025, giving prospective buyers an official reason to consider the forthcoming machine.[1]
The preview described Vortek as a system that exchanges the hotend assembly while sharing the motion system, extruder and cooling. Induction supplies heating power, and a custom circuit measures temperature and communicates wirelessly with the toolhead. Bambu Lab’s stated goal was to reduce the purge cleaning required when changing materials, without swapping an entire toolhead.
At that stage, the company said H2D owners would be able to upgrade, but warned that the work would demand care, skill and several hours. The announcement did not establish a final retail price or a universal purchase date. It was an acknowledged product under development, rather than an unnamed printer inferred from a certification code.
Update — November 14, 2025: a separate official specification article detailed six interchangeable Vortek hotends, up to seven colors or materials without purge-cleaning, and expansion to 24 filaments with AMS. It listed 350°C nozzles and a 65°C heated chamber.[2] An official forum post followed on November 18 as the full reveal.[3]
