Bambu Studio 2.5 adds remote AMS drying and broader color workflows
The January public release brings H2D drying controls, support-interface ironing and standard 3MF colors; printer firmware determines availability.

Bambu Lab released Studio 2.5.0 on January 27, 2026, bringing AMS drying controls into the slicer alongside changes for multi-material printing and model preparation. The release is available as version 02.05.00.65.[1]
For an H2D connected to AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT, the Device page can start and stop drying through the humidity control. Printing can continue while the AMS dries filament, with the drying temperature reduced during the job. These functions require H2D firmware 01.02.30.00 or later; other printer models were still under development.[1]
Studio also changes the prime-tower workflow for mixed PLA and PETG, aiming to improve adhesion when one material supplies the other's support interface. The additional controls sit in Developer Mode. Support-interface ironing provides another way to improve the supported surface when printing without a separate support material.[1]
Model tools gain standard 3MF face and vertex colors, plus mesh subdivision. Subdivision requires a manifold mesh and removes its color attributes, so it should precede painting. Texture-colored 3MF files are not fully supported by this importer. New 2D Lattice infill offers adjustable directions for lightweight structures.[1]
Update — January 29 and March 2: Bambu opened H2D firmware 01.02.30.06 to public beta on January 29. Its support account confirmed the final 01.03.00.00 firmware on March 2, giving owners a subsequent stable release to use with the new controls.[2][3]
