Bambu Lab launches PETG Matte with eight colours
The September 28 announcement focuses on a matte finish, moisture resistance and easier support removal.

Bambu Lab announced PETG Matte on September 28, 2026, saying the new filament series was available from its store in eight colours.[1]
The material pairs PETG’s intended durable uses with a matte surface that makes layer lines less visually prominent. Bambu Lab says its revised formulation improves moisture resistance and makes supports easier to remove, aiming to simplify the practical side of printing as well as the appearance of finished parts.[1]
Those performance descriptions are the manufacturer’s claims. The announcement does not provide a universal improvement percentage across all models or environments. The clearest distinction for prospective users is the combination of a subdued finish and the promised changes to support handling within a dedicated PETG series.[1]
