Bambu Lab introduces PLA Pure with a focus on formulation and indoor printing
The June 16 launch highlights five ingredients and certification claims, while distinguishing filament properties from finished-part use.

Bambu Lab introduced PLA Pure on June 16, 2026, saying the filament was already available. The launch places material composition and printing in everyday living spaces at the centre of the product: Bambu Lab describes a formulation made from five ingredients.[1]
The company cites compliance of ingredients with EU food-contact material requirements, alongside UL 2904 GREENGUARD and EN 71-3 certification information. These claims give users specific material, emissions and migration criteria to examine rather than relying on a colour or finish alone.[1]
The announcement also separates ingredient and filament compliance from the suitability of a finished print. Printing conditions, hygiene and the intended application still matter. PLA Pure’s name and material documentation do not by themselves establish that any printed utensil is suitable for food contact.[1]
