Bambu Lab end-of-life printers and support dates
Which Bambu Lab printers are out of production, from the P1P to the X1, X1 Carbon and X1E, and how long Bambu Lab will support each. Official notices linked.
Updated 2026-10-18. Sources checked 2026-10-11.
Bambu Lab has ended production of four printers so far: the P1P, and the X1, X1 Carbon and X1E. Each notice gives four dates: when production and sales stop, when bug fixes and feature updates stop, when security patches stop, and when spare parts and support end. This page lists those dates as Bambu Lab published them.
At a glance
- P1P: out of production since 10 February 2026. Spare parts and support until February 2031.
- X1, X1 Carbon and X1E: out of production since 31 March 2026. Spare parts and support until 31 March 2031.
- P1S: still in production. Bambu Lab said in February that it has no plans to phase it out.
We have found no other end-of-life notice from Bambu Lab as of 11 October 2026.
P1P
Bambu Lab announced the end of the P1P on its blog on 10 February 2026 (A farewell to P1P). The printer is no longer made or sold. The dates in the post:
- End of manufacturing and active sales: 10 February 2026
- Software and firmware bug fixes and feature updates: until 14 November 2027
- Software and firmware security patches: until 14 November 2029
- Spare parts and support: until February 2031. The text of the post gives 10 February 2031 for technical support.
Most spare parts fit both the P1P and the P1S, and the P1S stays on sale. Bambu Lab warns that some P1P-specific accessories may sell out before 2031. The post also says that once software updates end, the printer keeps the functions it has until the end of its support period.
X1, X1 Carbon and X1E
Bambu Lab announced the end of the X1 series on its blog on 31 March 2026 (The X1-series is EOL) and posted the same dates in its official forum on 9 April. The dates cover all three models:
- End of manufacturing and active sales: 31 March 2026
- Software and firmware bug fixes and feature updates: until 31 May 2027
- Software and firmware security patches: until 31 May 2029
- Spare parts supply and support: until 31 March 2031
Bambu Lab says its direct online sales of the X1 series stopped "some time ago", and that some authorised distributors may still have new units with full warranty. Spare parts stay on sale in Bambu Lab’s online store and at authorised service centers until 2031, though some may run out earlier.
Our news report on the X1 notice: Bambu retires X1, X1 Carbon and X1E with support dates through 2031.
How the dates work
Both notices use the same three stages. Until the first date, the printer gets bug fixes and new features. Until the second, it gets security patches only. Until the third, you can still buy spare parts and get technical support. For both lines that last date is five years after production ended.
We add a printer here only when Bambu Lab itself announces its end of life, on its blog, website or forum. When that happens we update this page and the date at the top.
